Venus Optics has expanded the range of Laowa 100mm F2.8 Ultra Macro APO lens options. The new variant is equipped with a Leica L mount.
There are now eight full-frame manual focus macro lens options. Buyers can choose from Canon RF, Nikon Z, Nikon F, Sony E, Pentax K or Canon EF mounts, the latter being offered in two versions: manual and auto iris.
The optical design of the lens includes 12 elements in 10 groups. A focal length of 100 mm corresponds to a field of view angle of 24.4 °. The aperture is adjustable in the range of f / 2.8-f / 22. The closest focusing distance is 24.7 cm. This achieves 2x magnification. Filters with a diameter of 67 mm can be attached to the lens. The largest diameter of the lens itself is 72 mm.
