Largest passenger plane in the world flies for almost 2 hours and returns to SP after crashes

An Airbus A380 from Emirates that would go from Sao Paulo to Dubai had to return to Guarulhos airport at dawn on Thursday after flying for almost two hours after technical failure.

The aircraft took off around 1:40 am. According to the FlightTar24 monitoring website, the plane flew for about 15 minutes until it reached the northern coast of São Paulo, where it began to go around.

The quadrimotor jet turned around the region for almost an hour, when he started return trajectory to Guarulhos airport. The plane landed in Greater São Paulo around 3:23 am.

In a note to CNN Emirates reported that flight EK262 “had to return to Sao Paulo shortly after takeoff due to a technical failure.” The company, however, did not detail what was the crash.

“The flight landed without complications and passengers and crew landed safely. The affected passengers were accommodated in a hotel,” the company says. Passengers will be resumed on a flight scheduled for Friday (23).

The GRU Airport dealership gave no details about the case.

How is the plane

The Airbus A380 has two floors and is currently the largest passenger plane in the world. The jet is 73 meters long and 80 meters of wingspan, which can take up to 850 passengers, depending on the cabin configuration used by the airline.

The model that had to return to Guarulhos was manufactured about 5 and a half years ago.
