The month of December has arrived and with it, the Christmas songs. On Spotify, three songs are already in the Top 5 of the Spotify Global 50 playlist, this Monday (2). Depending on the platform, the playlist is updated daily with the most played tracks at the moment.
Thirdly, it is “Last Christmas” by the band Wham!, a British pop duo formed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, in 1980. Close behind is the hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey, which had already entered the ranking last week, exactly 30 days before Christmas. 25 years after its launch, and since then returns to the top every November .
“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee is in 5th place in the ranking, illustrating the great demand for Christmas hits. Throughout the list, other songs on the theme also appear, such as “Jingle Bell Rock” , “Santa Tell Me” , “Snowman” , “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” among others.
On the playlist, songs like “APT.” by Rosé and Bruno Mars and “Die With a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga are at the top as 1st and 2nd place, respectively.
