Last lanes of Marginal Tietê will be released after collapse in subway works

The last lanes of the Marginal Tietê local lane, closed after the collapse of works on the subway at the location, will be released at 5 pm this Friday (25).

The accident occurred on February 1 during the construction of Line 6-Orange of the subway, and left no casualties.

Companhia de Engenharia de Tráfego (CET) will fully release the Marginal Tietê local lane towards Ayrton Senna, between Cenno Sbrighi and Visconde de Nanique streets. With this, provisional deviations established to facilitate circulation will no longer exist.

The information was released by the Metropolitan Transport Department (STM) of the capital of São Paulo, which declared that the drainage of the Emergency Exit and the work area was completed, and that the asphalt was recovered.

In the coming days, the concessionaire will analyze the conditions of the tunneling machines.

The crater left by the collapse at the construction site was filled with mortar and rocks.

The future Metro Line 6-Orange will connect Brasilândia to São Joaquim station, close to downtown São Paulo. It will have 15 stations and has earned the nickname “Linha Universidade” (University Line), connecting several educational institutions in the capital. The stations planned for its 15 kilometers of extension are: Brasilândia, Vila Cardoso, Itaberaba, João Paulo I, Freguesia do Ó, Santa Marina, Água Branca, Sesc Pompeia, Perdizes, PUC-Cardoso de Almeida, Angélica/Pacaembu, Higienópolis/Mackenzie , 14 Bis, Bela Vista and São Joaquim.
