Laurence Fishburne says she offered herself to “Matrix 4” but was rejected

Laurence Fishburne 63, claims to have asked to interpret again Morpheus in “Matrix Resurrections” (2021). In an interview with The View, the actor, however, says he was rejected.

“I offered my services to the fourth Matrix, and they didn’t answer that well,” said the actor. In the fourth long, Morpheus won a younger version, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II .

“It’s not like I didn’t say ‘I would like to offer my services.’ I did. For some reason, that didn’t happen. But that’s the truth. Let’s see,” he continued.

Despite his disappointment for being out of the movie, Fishburne does not rule out acting on “Matrix”. “It depends on the circumstances, who is involved, how well written the script is, if they will offer me the role,” he said.

A fifth movie of the “Matrix” saga is being touched by screenwriter Drew Goddard, and will not have, for the first time, the involvement of the Sisters Lilly and Lana Wachowski the creators of the franchise.
