Cooperation between Russia and China will be strengthened only under the current circumstances, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the Interfax news agency.
“This cooperation will be strengthened, because at a time when the West is blatantly undermining all the foundations on which the international system is based, of course we – as two great powers – must think about how to proceed in this world,” Lavrov said.
He stressed that he sees no reason to believe that the OPEC + mechanism will be disbanded as no one is interested in it, the Interfax news agency reported.
Lavrov said that the form of OPEC + will remain necessary as soon as new participants appear in the global oil supply market, Interfax reported.
