THE Sergey Lavrov who is in charge of Russia’s foreign ministry – especially at a critical juncture with the war in Ukraine – spoke at a political conference in Moscow and put in the “crosshairs” not a rival country, but the bathrooms gender neutral in Sweden.
The news was made known by the BBC journalist Francis Scarr who tweeted the quote in question and wrote:
“Once a flamboyant diplomat, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov now complains about Sweden’s gender-neutral toilets.”

The Russian foreign minister then said that “in Sweden last year, when I participated in the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council – sorry for the details – I asked during the break where the toilet was”.
“I asked if it was for women or men. I was told it is for everyone. I wouldn’t have believed it, but it happened. You can’t even imagine how inhumane this is,” he then added.
