The Ukrainian version of what happened in the city of Bukha is a “false attack” aimed at undermining Moscow, said today the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reported the TASS news agency, quoted by Reuters. Ukrainian authorities said Sunday that they were investigating possible crimes committed by Russian forces after the Hundreds of corpses found on the streets in cities such as Buka outside the capital Kyiv after the Russian withdrawal from the area.
Lavrov said that the bodies were “placed” there and how their images and the false, as he characterized it, version of events from Ukraine were spread on social media by western countries and Ukraine.
The top Russian diplomat also called on Britain, which holds the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council in April, to fulfill its responsibilities in this role, after London rejected a Russian request for a Security Council meeting on Bouka, according to reports.
