Lavrov: These are the terms for a peace deal with Ukraine – security guarantees by the Great Powers

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview today said that a group of countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, could guarantee Ukraine’s security. Reuters reported last week that President Vladimir Putin demands that Ukraine deliver the entire Eastern Donbas District, to abandon the ambitions for NATO membership, to remain neutral, and to keep west of the country, Lavrov told NBC News that Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the issue of a security guarantee and that Putin had raised the issue in the fruitless conversations of Constantinople in 2022.
