Santa Catarina lawyer Larissa Ferrari has made public the complaint against French player Dimitri Payet, who currently plays at Vasco da Gama, for physical, psychological and sexual violence.
In an interview with CNN Larissa said she had an extramarital relationship with the athlete between August 2024 and March this year. Payet has been married for 18 years with a French and has four children.
The case was registered at the Jacarepaguá Women’s Service Police Station (Deam), in Rio de Janeiro, and is being investigated under confidentiality. At the same time, the União da Vitória Women’s Police Station in Paraná – the victim’s Christmas – also conducts investigations related to the aggressions.
According to Larissa, the relationship began through conversations and evolved into face -to -face meetings. In her report, she detailed the episodes she considers as abusive and violent, as well as the emotional consequences during and after the end of the relationship.
“Since August 2024 we have started our conversations and, from September 2024, we really started a face -to -face relationship,” Larissa told CNN . She states that the lighter perceptions of the gravity of what she was living only came after therapeutic accompaniment.
“My first real perceptions of everything I lived with cruelty was only in March, after a lot of therapy.”
Larissa reported an episode in December 2024, which she said marked a change in the player’s behavior. “That’s when he said he was the only person I could trust, that he was the only person who really cared about me, that I couldn’t trust anyone but him.”
The mention would have happened after a friend commented that he knew their relationship with someone known. “He felt very disappointed by that. So from that moment, he said that I could no longer trust my friends, or anyone.”
She states that from there, Payet’s behavior intensified.
“Everything got worse, because he started using terms as punishment for when I was wrong, when he was jealous. In January it evolved to all this physical part, where I really felt raped, but I remained because he made me believe that I deserved to be punished.”
Larissa recorded images of the marks of the aggressions and is in psychological follow -up.
