“Many mothers and fathers need to take their children to work, otherwise they will not be able to work”. The sentence is from lawyer Felipe Cavallazzi, father of Lorenzo, 1 year and ten months old, who accompanied him last Thursday (18) in the judgment session of the Second Panel of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ).
The baby’s presence led Minister Mauro Campbell, president of the collegiate, to anticipate the trial that the lawyer was awaiting in person at the STJ.
“Madam Minister, Ministers, I will bow to Your Excellencies and invoke the Child and Adolescent Statute and also the Federal Constitution, because this Panel is being honored by the presence of Lorenzo, who has been here since the beginning of the session, very well behaved, he has already covered himself up because of the cold,” said the minister. Campbell further praised the baby: “He behaved brilliantly.”
The lawyer published a report on social media about the episode. Cavallazzi is divorced and said it was his day to take care of his son. “As my time with him is scarce, I don’t waste the opportunity to be together,” he explained. He also thanked Minister Mauro Campbell for his preference in the trial: “Once again, the STJ proves itself as the court of citizenship”.
