In the middle of last year, renowned architect Jim Keller left Intel and has not been heard of since.
It turned out that he found himself a refuge in a startup Tenstorrent, engaged in the development of no less than the next generation of computers. More specifically, the company’s website says that it is creating the world’s first dynamic artificial intelligence architecture.
And since we are talking about the development of a new architecture, and even this kind, it is not surprising that Keller found himself in Tenstorrent. Recall that it was Keller who was the key developer of the iconic AMD K7 and K8 architectures, as well as the current Zen architecture, thanks to which AMD is now at its peak.
Tenstorrent says Keller took over as CTO for the company, spearheading efforts to create a hardware solution for the Software 2.0 project.
