Learn how was 9th day of Judgment of Sean “Diddy” Combs

THE Sean Jury “Diddy” Combs by extortion and sexual trafficking heard the testimony of 16 witnesses so far . After this Thursday (22), the process will be paused until next Tuesday (27).

On the 9th day of trial, Scott Mescudi were heard, also known as “Kid Cudi”, who dated Cassie Ventura; George Kaplan, former Comb Assistant; Joshua Croft, Forensic Informatics Agent of the Department of Internal Security Investigations; Frederic Zemmour, General Manager of the L’Ermitage Hotel in California; and Mylah Morales, former Combs and Ventura Makeup artist. See the highlights of the day below .

Scott Mescudi, also known as “Kid Cudi”, dated Cassie Ventura

  • First times: Kid Cudi said he met Cassie Ventura in 2008 and that the two were friends until they started dating around 2011. The musician understood that she and Combs “had some problems and were no longer together,” but when the rapper knew he and singer were dating, he called Kid Cudi in December 2011 saying he wanted to talk to him, according to the musician’s testimony. Then he left the hotel where he was Ventura and returned home, he said.
  • Invasion to Kid Cudi’s house: Right after this call, Kid Cudi returned home, but Combs wasn’t there. Instead, he found his scrambled security cameras, gifts he had bought for the open family and his dog locked in the bathroom, according to his statement. After the invasion, the ex-boyfriend spent the holidays with Ventura’s family and received some text messages from Combs, but declined to talk to him, saying he believed he was responsible for the invasion. Cudi also stated that he filed a police report on the incident.
  • Damaged Kid Cudi Porsche with Molotov Cocktail: One morning in January 2012, his dog caregiver called his house saying the car was on fire. Seeing the photos, the rapper explained that it seemed that “the ceiling of my Porsche had been cut, and it was there that they played the Molotov cocktail,” causing irreparable damage, he said.
  • Face -to -face meeting between Combs and Kid Cudi: When he met Combs, who was alone, the musician reported that “Combs was still, looking out the window with his hands behind, like a Marvel villain.” They talked about Cudi’s relationship with Ventura from beginning to end, he said. When the rapper asked Combs about the damage to the car, he denied any involvement. The two met again in 2015, in a nightclub, and “Diddy” apologized to Cudi, who said he had “found peace” with the situation ever since.
  • Feeling of manipulation: Kid Cudi said he felt “used” and “upset” when he found out that Ventura ended up returning to Combs.
  • Confidant of Ventura: He stated that Cassie told him that she had a physical abuse in her relationship with the rapper – that he assaulted her with punches and sometimes with kicks – which bothered him. However, she did not mention her sexual abuse, she said.

George Kaplan, former assistant of Sean “Diddy” Combs

Before witnessing yesterday, without the presence of the jury, Kaplan invoked his constitutional right (fifth amendment) not to witness not to self -bind. Judge Arun Subramanian then signed an order of immunity demanding that he would witness. However, the former Comb assistant may still be prosecuted by perjury if he lies in court. The testimony continued today:

  • Handling of money in kind of Combs: Kaplan stated that he rarely carried money for Combs, but remembers once, in 2015, when the Comb security team asked him to hold $ 50,000 (about $ 282,000) while in the artist’s private jet. He also reported some cases where he had to withdraw $ 10,000 in cash at Western Union – but said he didn’t get the money and handed him to Combs as soon as he took him.
  • Violence witness: Kaplan reported three occasions when he witnessed violent “Diddy” behaviors: twice with Cassie Ventura in 2015, in the private jet, although he has not seen injuries to her on these occasions; And a third episode, at the end of the same year, in which she saw the singer with visible injuries in one of the rapper’s homes. He also told about another episode of aggression in which he saw Combs “playing several green, decorative or real apples, in another girlfriend”, not knowing if any even hit her.
  • Job was “a unique opportunity in life”: Kaplan stated that he took special care when cleaning the hotel rooms after the departure of Combs, as he feared that hotel staff sold content found in the rooms and this would harm the artist’s reputation. He said he reported his departure in September 2015 and definitely left his job in December after the episodes he witnessed. “The main reason I left my work as Mr. Combs assistant was that I did not feel comfortable or aligned with the physical behaviors that were happening and I was witnessing over a few months,” he said. He said he told Combs that he was leaving because his father was sick, and that the rapper was “extremely generous.” Kaplan kept in touch with the artist because “I liked Mr. Combs and wanted to continue having a relationship with him,” adding that working with him was a “unique opportunity in life”, even if his moral conscience led him to resign.
  • Business lessons: During the interrogation of the defense, Kaplan stated that Combs made his “world expand a lot in a short time”, remembering the business lessons he received from the artist.

Joshua Croft, Forensic Computer Agent of the Internal Security Investigations Department

Croft witnessed that he extracted data from three Ventura laptops: one had been redefined to the factory settings, another displayed the login screen of a user profile called “Frank Black” and a third was wrinkled and bent, unable to be connected, he said.

Frederic Zemmour, General Manager of the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California

Hotel records reveal name changes in the Comb profile: The jury saw the records of a profile initially created on behalf of Sean Combs in December 2006, which was changed to Jackie Star in 2009, according to Zemour. The name was changed several times between 2011 and 2012. In 2019, the name recorded became Ryan Lopez, he said.

Notes in the L’Cermitage Hotel’s Archive Archive, displayed to the jury

  • “Please monitor outside the room / in the hallway to spray environmental flavoring.”

  • “Always spill candle wax at everything and uses excessive amounts of oil; put the room out of use after departure for deep cleaning.”

  • “Please authorize an extra $ 1000 value when the guest is with us to cover possible damage to the room.”

Mylah Morales, former Combs and Ventura Makeup artist

  • High profile customers: Morales said he worked for Combs from 2000 to 2005, but left the work to serve other famous customers. She met Ventura in a photo shoot in New York, when Ventura was 16, and began to make her makeup regularly when she signed with the Bad Boy Records label in 2007. According to Morales, Ventura was like a younger sister for her. The last time he made his makeup was in 2021, he said.
  • Hosting with a friend: After a party at the house of singer Prince, Ventura and Morales returned to a hotel room during the 2010 Grammy weekend, Morales reported. Combs appeared in the room, closed the door behind him, and screams and discussions began, she said. When he left furiously from the room, Ventura was “devastated”, with a swollen eye, injured lip and bruises on his head, according to the testimony. The makeup artist took the singer to her house, where she stayed for a few days. Morales said he did not call the police for fear of Combs and fear for his life. A medical friend from Morales examined Ventura and recommended that she went to the emergency room, but she refused, according to the witness. The two never talked about what happened, reported Morales.
  • About eight media interviews: Morales said he gave about eight press interviews last year about Ventura and Combs relationship, including the 2010 abuse episode. She confirmed, during the counterrogatory, that she did not pay for any of these public interviews and had never talked about the 2010 case before the first interview given to CNN in May 2024.
