The co -founder of the financial company Fundrat Global Advisors Tom Lee (Tom Lee) is sure that Bitcoin is preparing for a sharp growth, and by the end of this year the first cryptocurrency will “take a big step” to a round mark of $ 200,000.
Lee explained that the long -awaited decrease in the basic interest rate by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will affect the growth of bitcoin – this will become a key growth catalyst for the entire crypto market. Assets with a high level of risk will grow rapidly if the Central Bank reduces the rate at the upcoming meeting of the Committee on Operations in the open market of the Fed, which is scheduled for September 17.
“Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, including ether, are very sensitive to credit-money policy. I think that on September 17 it will become a starting point for a bull rally, and by the end of the year, bitcoin can easily reach $ 200,000, ”Tom Lee said.
Now the first cryptocurrency is traded at $ 112,500, and its market capitalization is $ 2.2 trillion. In August, Bitcoin set a new historical record, exceeding $ 124,530, but he soon rolled back against the backdrop of macroeconomic uncertainty.
The forecasts of Tom Lee regarding the Bitcoin course as a whole turned out to be true, although they did not meet the time frame. In 2018, the head of Fundstrat suggested that BTC will reach $ 125,000 by the end of 2022. In that year, the maximum cryptocurrency price was about $ 47,700, and then its rate decreased to $ 16,000.
Recently, Tom made an encouraging forecast for the air, the second in capitalization of cryptocurrency. He is sure that by the end of 2025, ETH will be traded in the range of $ 12,000- $ 15,000 per coin, since large companies began to pay attention to altcoins created on the basis of the Ethereum blockchain.
