Candidate Luísa González voted on Sunday (13) in the second round of presidential elections. She disputes the position with the current head of state, Daniel Noboa.
Gonzalez, a protected from former President Rafael Correa, had 51.4% voting intent on a Business & Strategies survey with about 3,000 voters conducted March 24-26, with an error margin of 1.8%.
She was followed by Noboa with 48.6%, putting them both in a technical draw.
Noboa assumed the presidency just over 16 months ago, after predecessor Guillermo Lasso dissolved the parliament and summoned new elections. He defeated Gonzalez in the 2023 dispute.
