Vaccine passport

After the Federal Supreme Court Minister Luís Roberto Barroso decreed the requirement for a passport for the vaccine, the Federal Government discussed the adequacy of sanitary rules for the access of travelers to the borders of Brazil. On Sunday, a meeting held by Planalto brought together members of the Ministries of Health, Infrastructure, Justice, Civil House and Itamaraty, in addition to the Attorney General of the Union (AGU) and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

Vaccination at airports

The three largest Brazilian international airports – São Paulo, in Guarulhos; Galeão, in Rio de Janeiro and Juscelino Kubitschek, in Brasília – today open the vaccination points against Covid-19. The measure is aimed at the immunization of unvaccinated people who land in the country.

Legal Framework for Railways

The Chamber of Deputies must vote today on the Legal Framework for Railroads, after the proposal was postponed due to lack of agreement for approval. The text, which has been circulating since 2018, stipulates new rules for the investment and functioning of the sector.

Hacker attack on Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is trying to re-establish the SUS online portals after a hacker attack last week. The invasion affected access to proof of vaccination for millions of Brazilians. According to the government, all data was successfully recovered.

Floods in Bahia

At least seven people died in Bahia, victims of the heavy rains that, since last week, hit the south of the state. 2.5 tons of food must be sent by the Federal Government in the next few hours, with almost 70 thousand people affected by the storm. 25 cities declared an emergency situation.
