Lena Dunham: “If I had better understood my desires, my twenty years would have been very different”

In reality, says Lena Dunham, only “5% of the series is autobiographical”.
This time he chose not to act, as he did in Girls. The continuous considerations on his body have very influenced this decision: “I didn’t want to be dissected again”. Even if it has been taken forward on these topics, the company, says Dunham, “is still deeply intolerant towards the fat, misogynist, racist and full of age -related prejudices. And this interferes on our relationship with the body ».
Interviewed by the BBC he said he learned a lot from his twenty years. One of the lessons is a new feeling of love for one’s appearance: «I managed to build a new consideration of my body, which exists outside of cultural pressures. I feel lucky for this ».
