Motorola (or rather Lenovo) unexpectedly announced the Moto Razr 2022 foldable smartphone. A page with a description and key features appeared in the company’s official online store, although the full presentation of the device should take place on August 11. On it, most likely, the company will talk about some of the features of the smartphone, announce prices and terms of appearance on sale.
The first thing that catches your eye is the redesigned Moto Razr 2022. The manufacturer decided to abandon the relationship with the classic model, so the novelty completely got rid of the lower protrusion (“chin”), which looked out of place when the smartphone was open. Thus, there is more space for the screen, and long-term use of the device has become more comfortable.
The new Moto Razr is equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. There are two screens in the smartphone: an internal 6.7-inch with a flexible OLED matrix and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, as well as an external 2.7-inch one. The main camera consists of two modules: the main 50 MP with optical stabilization and the additional 13 MP with a wide-angle lens (121°) and the ability to shoot macro. The selfie camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. Declared support for Dolby Atmos, the presence of a Richtap vibration engine, as well as three microphones. As for memory, there is no such information on the site, but according to GSMArena, there will be three configurations: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB and 12/512 GB.
Moto Razr 2022 runs on Android with MyUI 4.0 interface and a set of proprietary Moto features. The company has done a lot of work to make this smartphone model useful in a half-opened state. Users will be able to use two screens, just like Samsung does on its foldable devices. For example, a messenger will be opened on one half, and a browser on the other. At the same time, the smartphone is not fully opened, but at 90 °. This feature can also be used during shooting – the camera app with the viewfinder is located on the top half, and the controls on the bottom.
