A little over a month ago, information appeared about the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U and Ryzen 5 Pro 5650U processors. Today, a source added to it, citing Lenovo, which has confirmed the upcoming release of these processors, mentioning them in the specifications of the new ThinkPad T14 notebooks.
The manufacturer has confirmed that the Ryzen 5 Pro 5650U has 6 cores and can execute up to 12 threads. The maximum frequency is 4.2 GHz. The Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U has 8 cores that can execute up to 16 threads. The maximum frequency is 4.4 GHz. The TDP value is adjustable in the range of 10-25 W.
Unfortunately, it is not yet clear what microarchitecture the CPUs are built on. The Ryzen 5000U series has models based on Zen2 (Lucienne) and Zen3 (Cezanne). It is possible that the Pro variants will differ in this respect from the “non-Pro” models. The same goes for GPU configurations. The senior processor is expected to receive an 8-core GPU, while the 5650U will have a 7-core.
