Lenovo unveiled ThinkReality A3 smart glasses during CES 2021. They are addressed to corporate customers, according to the manufacturer, as part of “a package of complex digital solutions that contribute to the intellectual development of companies.”
ThinkReality A3 glasses are said to help transform the way businesses operate, offering a range of use cases ranging from customizable virtual displays to 3D rendering and augmented reality (AR) technology in workflows.
The device is connected to a PC using a USB-C cable. It can be used as a sunglasses, and can be complemented with a reinforced frame for more durable use. The design includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon® XR1 processor and dual 1080p displays with up to five virtual windows. The built-in 8MP camera captures 1080p video that can be accessed by remote experts, while the dual cameras with ultra-wide-angle lenses provide a wide view of the indoor environment.
The manufacturer offers the ThinkReality A3 PC Edition, which connects to a computer, allowing multiple large virtual monitors to be placed in the field of view and using Windows software tools and applications. This option is designed to improve performance and provide privacy when working on a PC.
The ThinkReality A3 Industrial Edition connects to flagship Motorola mobile phones for remote augmented reality solutions in challenging work environments. The ThinkReality software platform is designed to create and deploy appropriate applications.
