THE singer Leonardo 61, was moved during a show at the Farraial festival in São Paulo, this Saturday (17) when remembering the death of presenter Silvio Santos who passed away on the same day at the age of 93.
“We have lost the greatest presenter in Brazil. I don’t know if we lost him, I think God said: ‘Come stay with me here for a while, Silvio Santos, you have brought so much joy to the people of Brazil’”, said Leonardo on stage.

“Long live Silvio Santos! Thank you for everything you did for the Brazilian people, for Brazilian homes, for singers, for music,” commented the artist. Several celebrities, including those from the country music scene, paid their respects to the presenter this Saturday.
To end the moment, Leonardo said: “One thing I’m sure of, Silvio, we’ll always say ‘I didn’t learn to say goodbye’”, introducing his hit song of the same name.
On Saturday morning, the singer used his social media to pay his first tribute to the founder of SBT. He highlighted the importance of the businessman for Brazilian television.
