The photo depicts the princesses Leonor 16 and Sofia, 14, sitting, while the parents are standing behind them: four beautiful smiles, immortalized in the home garden.

Leonor, since last August, has been studying at UWC Atlantic College, the same as Alexia from Holland, who has also recently returned to her family, and from other royals before them, such as Elizabeth of Belgium. Leonor will return to Wales on 5th January: studies, for now, can wait, it’s time to be with the sister and the parents.

No indiscretions, so far, about how Christmas will be spent at the Zarzuela, it is certain that not everyone will be there. The two chose a classic image of the Nativity, as has always been their style. The former rulers have not lived together for some time, but at least for the holidays they have saved appearances.
