Lepen says Macron fired at her for a national unity government

Marin Le Pen told AFP that President Emanuel Macron had referred to the possibility of forming a national unity government during their meeting yesterday.

In particular, I was asked today whether the possibility of M. Le Pen was discussed was answered in the affirmative, although yesterday he had not mentioned the issue after the meeting in the Elysee with Macron, who is discussing with the leaders of the major parties to form a government.

As early as yesterday, the General Secretary of the Communist Party, Fabien Roussell, had stated that Macron “envisions” the formation of a “government of national unity” in order to find “ways to get out of the political impasse” in the National Assembly, after the faction failed to secure an absolute majority on Sunday.

For his part, Coordinating Minister Olivier Veran outlined today on BFMTV the possibilities being considered for the next day in the National Assembly, speaking of a “wider political enlargement”, or a majority model on a case-by-case basis, “sometimes with the left, sometimes with the right “.
