Let’s vote Marchisio

So we will not vote for the municipal elections, at least not now: therefore everything is postponed to October, and therefore here are other months to find any candidates who come forward for a job among the most arduous. In Turin, the name of Marchisio, a beautiful and advanced footballer, appears, and everyone will give us a thought, even non-Turinese. In Rome, the names of the less performing Vittorio Sgarbi and perhaps also Massimo Giletti circulate, but the newly unemployed Zingaretti (not Montalbano, the other) is not excluded.

In short, we are in full Amedeo Nazzari syndrome. The older ones will remember the legendary sketch of the Eighth Dwarf, broadcast by Serena Dandini who in 2001 saw a mock meeting of the secretariat of the then DS (Left Democrats, father of the PD) with Walter Veltroni (Corrado Guzzanti) and Livia Turco (Germana Pasquero) to choose the candidate for Rome. «Have we thought of Raoul Bova?» Asks Turco. “Of course we’ve thought about it, but he said he’s afraid of losing an audience.” Paola and Chiara? “They have the tour.”
Prickly pears? “I tell all the comrades of the motion Fichi d’India, I like them too, but they have the film.” Leonardo DiCaprio, who has such a beautiful oval of the face? “He said he doesn’t want to fossilize in disaster movies after Titanic.” And so on up to Amedeo Nazzari: the name of the great actor makes everyone agree; pity he’s dead. The possibility of a candidate is being evaluated anyway, but a reform would be needed. Then they resign themselves: “Patience, it went like this.”
