Letters and Rest: As faithful they wait for the result of the Vatican Conclave

While the wait for white smoke continues in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, the people gathered there found different ways to spend time.

A group of young people could be seen sitting on the floor playing cards on Thursday (8), while others visited souvenir shops in times of calm.

Elsewhere, a cafeteria worked as a temporary resting place for a group of nuns.

About 15,000 people gathered in the square on Thursday morning, eagerly awaiting the possibility of a new pope elected, according to Vatican Media.

For the second time, however, smoke was black – which means no pope was chosen yet.

The cardinals make new votes in the Sistine Chapel this afternoon.
