Today, December 15, Lexus officially unveiled the body of the new RZ 450e electric crossover, the company’s first car built on the e-TNGA platform. Accordingly, there is nothing surprising in the fact that the new product almost completely repeats the appearance of its brothers in architecture – Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. However, the manufacturer managed to maintain its individuality due to the unique L-shaped navigation lights, as well as the caps in place of the radiator grille with wind protection in the corporate design. In addition, Lexus said that the main competitor to the RZ 450e will be the Mercedes-Benz EQC car – the platform brothers, apparently, will be in a different price segment.

Unfortunately, the presentation ends on the official photos – so far the manufacturer is not ready to show the interior of the electric crossover, and there is no information about its characteristics either. Most likely, the Lexus RZ 450e will be equipped with the same power plants as the Toyota bZ4X with the Subaru Solterra, but the interior will be made of more expensive materials, which will allow the brand to remain at the premium level. A full presentation of the car should take place in 2022 – then the company will tell all the details.
