LGBTQ people have a lot to offer the country economically, says entrepreneur

The singer, entrepreneur and founder of “Inhaí’ Raquel Virgínia believes that the LGBTQIA+ population “has a lot to offer the country economically.”

She, who is a trans woman, dedicates her company to consulting and creating diversity projects for companies.

“We are starting to have a strong and precise understanding that our contribution is fundamental for the development of new products, designs and ideas”, he said, to CNN Rádio, in CNN No Plural.

According to Raquel, the perspective of the LGBTQIA+ population is “unique in society”, since the lives of trans people and the community as a whole are “full of challenges and resilience.”

“We can take this into business life, our construction as professionals, in this sense it has a lot to offer, it is impressive how LGBT entrepreneurship has developed incredible things.”

She, who is at Harvard precisely for an event on diversity and entrepreneurship, said that this perception is “increasingly stronger.”

“We are experiencing a revolution in behavior, there is a profound change in Brazilian society”, he added.

At the same time, the specialist argues that not only is training necessary for people, but also for leaders within companies.

“Leaders need to be more provoked to leave their comfort zone and look for a place of innovation that we can offer”, he said.
