LG’s first battery-powered portable TV unveiled

With CES 2022 approaching, companies are starting to showcase interesting devices that will be showcased at an electronics show early next year.

Thus, the South Korean company LG presented a rather unique product: the first portable TV with a built-in battery. Yes, the company working on OLED, MicroLED and other modern display technologies has decided to go in a new direction with the introduction of a TV that can be moved anywhere (it has a stand on wheels) and fixed at the desired angle.

LG StandbyME is equipped with a 27-inch screen that can be easily detached from this stand and mounted on a wall or tabletop stand. The native kickstand lets you swivel, tilt, and even set it up in portrait mode.

According to official data, StandbyME TV can work up to 3 hours without recharging from the battery, which is built into the stand. That is, you can watch several episodes of the series or a couple of small films.

The TV has an LCD screen, but its specifications are not reported. LG StandbyME is touch-friendly and offers streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube. The TV has USB and HDMI ports.

The price has not yet been announced.
