The new series “Liers” Won his first official trailer on Tuesday (6). Production is an adaptation of the eponymous literary work of the author E. LOCKHART headed by the streaming prime video service.
The eight -episode series will star Emily Alyn Lind (“Gossip Girl” reboot) and has Meryl Streep’s daughter, MAMIE GUMMER (“The lifeguards”) in the cast.
The story is set on a private island Massachusetts, the United States and centered on the rich and seemingly perfect Sinclair family, which spends all the summers in the place.
Following the official synopsis, Cadence -the firstborn granddaughter and the main heiress -his cousins Johnny and Mirren and his friend Gat are inseparable from a young age, and together they form a group called Liers.
During the summer of its fifteen years, Cadence’s holidays are interrupted when the girl suffers a strange accident. She spends the next two years in a troubled period, with amnesia, depression, severe headaches and many painkillers. The whole family treats her with extreme care and refuses to give more details about what happened, until Cadence finally returns to the island to gather the memories of what really happened.
The literary work has been very popular at Tiktok in recent years because of its engaging plot entitled to a plot twist (expression used to represent an unexpected and surprising change in history) considered by readers as intelligent in the end. In 2021, it was sales success.
The cast is also starring Shubham Maheshwari like gat patty, Esther McGregor interpreting Mirren Sinclair Sheffield and Joseph Zada Giving life to Johnny Sinclair Dennis.
Yet, Caitlin Fitzgerald It’s Penny Sinclair, MAMIE GUMMER It’s Carrie Sinclair, Candice King Live Bess Sinclair, Rahul Kohli It’s Ed Patil and David Morse It gives life to Harris Sinclair.
The series is written by Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries”) and CARINA ADLY MACKENZIE (“The Originals”).
“Liers” debut on June 18 on the prime video platform.
