This is Kleber Mendonça Filho’s third movie to compete for the Golden Palm. Previously, the Pernambuco filmmaker had “Aquarius” and “Bacurau” in the official selection, besides “Chamebre 999” and “Ghost portraits” in special festival exhibitions.
In recent years, Wagner Moura has starred in international productions as “Narcos” (2015), “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” (2024), “Civil War“ (2024) and “Drug thieves” (2025).
