The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, one of the two Prime Ministers of Libya, Abdul Hamid Dibeba, met with the Turkish Minister of Defense, Hulusi Akar, in Izmir.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of Deyba’s visit to Turkey to attend military exercises in the country, which includes other countries, including Libya, according to a statement from the National Unity Government’s media office on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
According to the statement, a technical meeting was held between Dibeba and Akar, in the presence of the Chief of General Staff of Libya, Mohamed al-Haddad, while the meeting focused on supporting training and development programs of the Libyan army and discussing cooperation between the two countries.
Dbeiba was accompanied by the Libyan AGA and AGEN, the commanders of the military areas and some directors of departments of the Ministry of Defense.
