The sanitary protocol for the parades of the samba schools of the Special Group of Rio Carnival will be announced in the coming days. The document proposed by the League of Samba Schools (Liesa), which represents the 12 associations, has already been delivered to the municipal authorities and is under evaluation by technicians from the health department and from the health surveillance.
According to the president of Liesa, Jorge Perlingeiro, the proposal for the sanitary protocol will be based on public control.
To optimize the registration process and avoid queues, an application with a digital ticket will be used, which will also have a manual guiding the proof of the complete vaccination scheme, but the recommendation is that people take the printed receipt.
If any user violates the protocol, he may be held civilly and criminally responsible. Tents for paid tests will be set up around the Marquês de Sapucaí.
Also according to Perlingeiro, the protocol has already been sent to the Municipal Health Department, and Liesa awaits the return. To CNN, health secretary Daniel Soranz informed that he is evaluating the charge for the tests, in addition to the vaccine passport.
Details of the protocol and operational scheme for the Sapucaí Carnival should be released next week. The meeting to define the blocks’ parades at strategic points in the city, which would take place this Friday (07), was postponed.
The information was confirmed by cultural producer Rita Fernandes, president of Sebastiana, the Independent Association of Street Carnival Blocks in the South Zone, Santa Teresa and Centro. The entity claimed that it was not possible to discuss the issue due to the epidemiological situation in the city.
Before the last meeting with the city hall, last Tuesday (04), Rita had already said that holding the parades in closed points like the Olympic Park, for example, as suggested by Mayor Eduardo Paes, would not be a viable alternative.
