Lightning trip K. Bakoyannis in Pescara, Italy

The Mayor of Athens was in Italy for just a few hours, meeting leading officials of the political world of the neighboring country. Costas Bakoyiannis held a particularly productive meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio yesterday, with whom he exchanged views on all the critical issues that concern the planet, such as the ongoing war in Ukraine and the subsequent energy crisis.

After a challenge from Senator Luciano D’Alfonso, Costas Bakoyiannis participated in an open debate with the Mayor of the city, Carlo Masci, il Sindaco che ama Pescara. During the meetings, the Mayor of Athens had the opportunity to unfold the network of actions implemented by the municipal authority in the areas that have generated great interest as good practices.

The Mayor’s interlocutors showed a keen interest in the initiatives that Athens has taken in terms of the digital transformation of the city and its green transition, while they recognized the great effort made by the Mayor in order to make the capital a key player in the regional and becoming European.
