The Google Go app is preinstalled on smartphones that run Android Go Edition. In addition, the app can also be installed on regular Android phones from the Google Play store. However, not all Android users are aware of the Google Go app because Android smartphones with Google services already come with the regular Google app.
Google notes that this app is perfect for low-cost smartphone users and residents of regions with slow Internet connections. Google Go offers almost all the features of a regular Google app, but it’s only 8MB in size.
The app loads results quickly and consumes less mobile data than the standard version of the Google app.
