Types Daniel Pierce, a healthy baby boy from Ohio, USA, was born a fetus that had been frozen for more than 30 years, setting a world record, according to the BBC. Lindsay (35 years old) and Tim Pierce (34) welcomed their son last Saturday, after seven years of attempts to have a child. Speaking to MIT Technology Review, Lindsay said her family described it as “a science fiction movie”. The fetus was created in 1994 through IVF by Linda Arldard, who is now 62 years old, with her then husband. Of the four embryos created then, one led to the birth of their daughter, now 30 years old.
