Today, April 21, the Lincoln Motor Company, which is part of the Ford Motor Company, officially showed the world its unique concept of an electric SUV under the sonorous name Star. However, the presentation in Los Angeles was rather introductory – company representatives showed the body of the car and talked about its main advantages and features, but not a word was said about the technical characteristics. It is likely that fans of the brand will receive more data closer to 2025 – around this time, Lincoln plans to focus on electric vehicles.
Now, the presentation, as well as the videos, are entirely devoted to the design of the Lincoln Star body and its unique interior of its kind. For example, on the front side you can see a stylish plug, where the radiator grill is usually installed for internal combustion engines, and on the hood, which is covered with special glass with a dimming function, there are running lights – they are made in the form of an elongated strip divided into segments. At the same time, the hood rises, and does not open, as in standard cars, and the front side moves forward, like a drawer in a desk. Due to this, it was possible to divide the engine compartment (front trunk) into two sections.

The concept also received a fashionable (and very popular among new show cars) design of side doors – they open in opposite directions from each other, while the car does not have a dividing rack. This, in fact, is one of the reasons why such a show car will most likely not go into mass production, since a car without side pillars is unsafe. At the back, the Lincoln Star has a huge inscription and brake lights are installed, which are also stretched along the body from edge to edge. Not to say that this is something incredible, but the implementation of the stern looks very aesthetically pleasing.
In the cabin, the potential owner receives an unusual steering wheel, as well as a display extended across the entire width of the front console. This means that the manufacturer still does not quite believe in fully autonomous cars, although this particular model is able to help the driver while driving and even park independently in parallel. Also in the cabin there are four captain’s chairs with footrests, a lot of lighting elements and displays for rear row passengers. Not the most incredible concept, it’s worth saying.
