LinkedIn Top Voices: the 15 profiles to follow

For the first time in Italy, LinkedIn has published the Top Voices list, a selection of 15 content creators to follow on the largest professional network in the world. A list of local experts who are contributing to the professional conversation in their respective fields.

From ideas for achieving a good balance between private life and career to suggestions for a winning resume, these users help us orient ourselves in the new world of work, keep up with our industry and reflect on current topics and beyond.

With their voices they also promote constructive dialogue and that sense of community that we feel the need for.

How the list was made

LinkedIn Top Voice is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors that include the level of interest generated with reactions, comments and sharing of content, the frequency of publication of posts and the growth in the number of followers. The editorial staff of LinkedIn News then also checks how the content posted by the user is. Are the contributions useful, conversational and timely? What is the goal? And finally, does the list reflect the world you live and work in these days?

We went to ask a few more questions a Mariangela Pira, one of the most followed journalists on LinkedIn.

She is one of the 15 profiles to follow on Linkedin according to the first annual Top Voices ranking in Italy. How does it feel?
“Do you believe me if I tell you it seems impossible? When I bet on LinkedIn I did it because it’s a serious social. Who takes responsibility in a world where social media focuses on haters, on easy money, on titles that have nothing to do with the right article to push the “click”. I like sharing news that start from numbers, from data that lead to a serious debate, not a contentious one. That’s what the country needs. “

What is LinkedIn for you?
“In part I answered earlier. I’ll give you an example: when I received ‘pushed’ phrases, with sexual references due to a banal top worn, LinkedIn immediately took the situation seriously. It blocked users, immediately reported policies to avoid such situations. I didn’t feel alone ».

Your daily “3 factors”: how do you manage to make even challenging topics so simple?
«If all social networks implemented this courageous selection policy, the network would be a better place. Just make the ostriches, each of us has his responsibilities ».

His book has also recently come out Year Zero AD Is it for everyone or just for insiders?
“For everyone. And, believe me, I am amazed at the many messages I receive from the youngest, the not so young, from girls with problems who feel inspired to do better. It is a book that uses history, Latin, philosophy to explain to the Ohio milkman – as I like to say – the basic mechanisms of the economy. It is true, things can change every day, but there you will find the basis, from those pages we start to understand better ».

A tip for young journalists?
«The messages I receive from the youngest, often also journalists, sometimes move me. I am still amazed by this sequel, even today I cannot understand it. And I know that I look like Pollyanna with my enthusiasm but the truth is that for me every day is the first day as I feel the responsibility to always study, to be prepared for the role we have. The advice I follow is the same one I feel like giving them: study, read, compare sources, get ready. Only in this way can we arrive safely at an interview, to draft a piece, to better address a topic ».
