A domesticated lion, which had escaped its owners, chased a woman and her two children on a busy street in Lahore, a population of 13 million in eastern Pakistan, before rushing them, police said today. In shots of a security circuit released by the police, the lion is distinguished last night jumping over the wall of the house, then chasing a woman holding her shopping. The lion jumped over it, throwing it to the ground. The father of the family explained that the lion then turned to her children, aged 5 and 7, biting them into their hands and the face, according to a police report.
