The word No’hma comes from the crasis of two Greek words, “Νοῦς” (nous), that is thought, and “αἷμα” (aima), therefore blood, vital lymph. With a feeling that wants to embrace all of humanity, the No’hma Theater chooses the shows in season, international but also local productions. No’hma “broke the fourth dimension” with the OnLife Theater, a new concept of making and offering shows to the public: two theater companies from distant places that, thanks to the use of modern technologies, can perform together and in real time in the same show.
The technology came before the pandemic. «This was the utopia of my sister Teresa who was the soul of this theater. She had this idea of the theater for everyone and that everyone should take advantage of the beauty of the great artistic manifestations without wealth or other limits. When she passed away, I assumed the presidency of the theater and thought that utopias cannot die. We had already done streaming experiments before the pandemic and it was very useful at the time of the lockdown when we continued the season with many companies, including foreign ones, without closing the theater even for a day.
Over 14 years 470 shows from Italy and the world, 829 curtain raises, half a million spectators and more than 40 shows on the bill in the season just ended. 123 curtain raises on the web during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 Seasons, which have collected over 90,000 views in just over 16 months.

The love for the theater comes from the affection for the sister and beyond. «I belong to a family of artists. My sister gave birth to her passion in me through her activity. Taking it in hand I did a long apprenticeship. Even today, the memory of her animates my decision to devote myself to a form of theater different from that of classical contemporary theater open to the world.
