Liz Cheney loses in Wyoming – Vows to do ‘everything’ to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president again

THE Liz Cheney, the loudest voice among Republicans who oppose the former president Donald Trumpsuffered yesterday Tuesday heavy defeat in the intra-party process at Wyoming for the nomination of the candidate for her seat in the House of Representatives by Harriet Hageman, endorsed by Trumpbroadcast American media.

He insisted, however, that will do “everything” to ensure the tycoon never returns to the White House.

Liz Cheney appeared to widen her attack on Trump, saying he is “fraudulently” spreading the “lie” that the raid on his home in Florida by federal agents last week he was part of a conspiracy that his political opponents are striking with the aim of his political extermination, in the context of the “witch hunt”, as he puts it.

Displaying this “lie,” Cheney said in her defeat speech, Trump “knows that (…) it will spark violence and threats of violence. This had happened on January 6 and is happening again now.” He specifically denounced the fact that people close to the former president released the names of two FBI men involved in the Mar-a-Lago investigation. “This was intentional and malicious,” Cheney said. “No patriotic American should condone these threats or be intimidated. Our great country should not be ruled by a mob provoked through social networking sites,” he added.

Cheney, 56 years old, is, as APE-MPE reports, black sheep for the billionaire after becoming a member of the special investigative committee of the House of Representatives that conducts investigation into Trump’s role in the Capitol invasion on January 6, 2021.

With 18 percent of the ballots expected to be cast counted, Hageman led with 65.1 percent to Cheney’s 30.3 percent, according to Edison Research.

After former Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter became co-chair of a special House investigative committee in retaliation the 45th president of the USA multiplied his attacks against his “unfaithful and warmongering” enemy, throwing his weight behind her opponent Harriet Hageman, a 59-year-old lawyer, with whom he campaigned in late May.

In the state where Trump won over 70% of the vote in 2020, Harriet Hageman notably favors the Trump environment theory that the outcome of the 2020 election was the result of a “stolen”, that the Republican former president won, although there is no proof.
