Liz Truss espionage scripts when she was British Foreign Secretary

Liz Truss allegedly fell victim to espionage during her tenure as Britain’s foreign minister. According to her publication Daily Mailhackers gained access to her personal phone, and there is also a report of agents allegedly acting on behalf of Vladimir Putin

Hackers gained access to “top secret details” of Truss’s consultations with foreign allies, in addition to private messages exchanged with her close aide, Kwazi Kwarteng, who was later appointed finance minister, the report said.

The messages allegedly covered discussions between the then British foreign minister and foreign ministers of other countries about the war in Ukraine, including details of weapons system shipments, the Daily Mail claims.

The British newspaper, citing imgs it does not name, talks about receiving messages covering a period of up to a year.

A Downing Street spokesman was content to state that “the government has robust systems in place to protect against cyber threats. In this context, regular updates are made to ministers on security issues and advice is given on the protection of their personal data and the mitigation of cyber threats”.

The hacking of Liz Truss’ personal phone was discovered during her campaign for the leadership of the ruling Conservative Party, the Daily Mail reports.

Tras was elected prime minister but resigned after only 44 days. She was succeeded by the former British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak.

The report in the British newspaper said that the messages accessed by the hackers included criticism from Truss and Kwarteng of former prime minister Boris Johnson, highlighting “a potential blackmail risk”.
