Lizzo’s dance group backs rapper after sexual harassment allegations

Rapper Lizzo’s current team of dancers praised the singer after allegations of harassment and a hostile work environment by former dancers who worked with the artist.

Earlier this month, Lizzo was sued by three former dancers who allege they were subjected to a hostile work environment and harassment while they were members of the Grammy-winning rapper’s dance crew.

The complaint, obtained by the CNN was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 1, also names its production company Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc and a person described as “captain of the dance cast” as defendants in the case.

Among the allegations presented, one of the whistleblowers said that she was encouraged by the singer to “take turns touching artists naked”, while at a club in the Red Light District of Amsterdam, Netherlands, during a tour in February.

Fearing retaliation, according to the lawsuit, the plaintiff said she “agreed”, despite having expressed that she did not wish to touch the artists.

Another report says Lizzo expressed “thin-veiled” concerns about the whistleblower’s “weight gain,” according to the lawsuit, causing the person to feel pressured to “explain her weight gain and reveal intimate personal details about her life.” to keep your job.

This week, the lawyer for the former employees who filed a complaint against the rapper told CNN that “at least” six other people would also have similar stories about the singer.
