The Danish logistics company Maersk, as well as one of the world’s largest shipping companies, has decided to leave the Russian market completely.
The published letter notes that the company stops work in Russia and sells its assets in the country. In addition, the company promised customers whose goods are in the process of delivery to do everything possible to fulfill their obligations and deliver the goods to the point of arrival.

In the light of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, APMoller-Maersk, as a responsible participant in the transport market, has decided to terminate Maersk’s activities and sell the company’s assets in Russia

Maersk also stops accepting new orders on its services both to and from Russia, including ocean, transcontinental, rail and aviation. The export of all previously imported containers from Russia is planned until the end of April 2022.
The implementation of regulatory documents and restrictive measures imposed by the governments of foreign countries in relation to the Russian Federation, as well as the expected economic turbulence in the country’s economy, do not allow us to continue our activities in Russia.

According to widespread information, Maersk has about 50,000 empty containers left in Russia.
