To the delight of fans, next Sunday (24) Sam Smith performs on the stage of Lollapalooza Brazil at the Autódromo de Interlagos, in São Paulo.
This, however, will not be the first time that the British musician, author of singles such as “Stay With Me” and “I'm Not The Only One”, has performed on Brazilian soil. His first visit to the country took place in 2015, when he performed at Rock in Rio.
Going beyond classic, romantic hits that bring a dose of reflection, the singer carries several unusual moments in his career.
Adele or Sam Smith?
Still at the beginning of his career, Sam faced comparisons with Adele, especially because they were born in the United Kingdom and committed to a similar musical style.
Going further, the two were part of the soundtrack for James Bond films and won an Oscar for their contributions. On social media, for example, internet users often say they are the same person, as they have never appeared together.

In an interview with Drew Barrymore's program, Sam commented on the theory.
“Everyone seems to think I'm Adele in drag. Because we’ve never been in the same place together and if you slow down her voice, it sounds a little like mine,” she said.
Sam Smith in Brazil
In 2015, during his first visit to Brazil, Sam Smith rode a helicopter, visited Christ the Redeemer, followed Rihanna's show and even enjoyed a night of drinking on the streets of Rio.
At the time, the musician needed help to get to the Copacabana Palace, where he was staying at the time. Photos of the moment are quickly shared on social media to this day.

And the fight with Anitta?
Recently, Anitta revealed that she would collaborate with Sam on her newest album, “Funk Generation”.
However, the release of the song, which would have been called “I Wanna Be”, was canceled by the artist, causing euphoria on social media.
The revelation was made by the Brazilian when commenting on a post on social media that reflected an interview with Cosmopolitan UK magazine, where she shared details about the partnership.
“This interview was given last month. He canceled the launch. We had to reschedule the album release plan and as soon as we have the date you will know. It won't take long, everything else is already ready. I love you,” he wrote.
