Lollapalooza Brasil starts this Friday (24) in SP celebrating 10 years in the country

The 10th edition of Lollapalooza Brasil starts this Friday (24th) at the Interlagos Circuit, in the south zone of São Paulo, after a series of cancellations of attractions following the announcement of this year’s festival. At least five artists were announced and later canceled – Willow, Blink-182, Omar Apollo, Dominic Fike and 100 Gecs. The festival continues until Sunday (26)

With a team of headliners with Drake, Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, Twentyy Øne Piløts, Rosalía and Lil Nas X, despite the cancellations, the festival wants to make history by reaching the tenth edition in the country and expects to receive 300 thousand people throughout the year the weekend.

On this first day, two of the hottest names in contemporary pop music take the stage and make their debut on Brazilian soil: singer Billie Eilish and sensational rapper Lil Nas X. Also this Friday, young American Conan Gray takes the stage.

Punk and melodic hardcore lovers will watch Rise Against, scheduled for the same date. The Brazilian music scene of the edition should be marked by diversity with the hits of Pedro Sampaio, the light pop of ANAVITÓRIA, the rap of Black Alien, the reggae of Planta & Raiz and the pop of the duo BABY.

On Saturday (25), in place of Blink-182, which canceled all performances in South America and Mexico due to health problems – the drummer Travis Baker operated on his finger after tearing ligaments during a rehearsal – Twenty Øne Piløts take the stage.

On the same day, the Australian band Tame Impala also takes to the stage. Another name that draws attention in the line-up of the day is Jane’s Addiction, in addition to The 1975 and the British musician and producer Jamie XX (from the cult band The XX), who returned to release some singles this year.

Brazilian music will be well represented with the pagode and funk of LUDMILLA, the trap of Filipe Ret, the rock of Pitty, the sound of the Gilsons and the presence of Tássia Reis and Medulla.

The last day of Lolla closes the festival with Drake, who makes his debut in São Paulo. On the same date, “Motomami” Rosalía also takes to the stage. Also on Sunday, Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, nominated five times as the Top 1 in the world by British DJ Mag, Swedish singer Tove Lo and Cigarettes After Sex.

In the Brazilian soundtrack, the trap of L7NNON, the classics of Os Paralamas do Sucesso, the band Tuyo of the singer Larissa Luz.

How to get to the festival

The gates of the Interlagos Racetrack will open at 11am. Organizers ask that the public use public transport to reach the racecourse, as there is no parking on site. Transport applications and travel package services to the race track are also indicated by the organizers.

The racetrack is located approximately 850 meters from the Autódromo station (Line 9 – Esmeralda/Osasco – Bruno Covas-Mendes/Vila Natal).

There is also the Lolla Transfer, which will leave two places in the city and leave passengers inside the racetrack. More information here.

What can and should be taken to Lolla

The Lolla Cashless by Bradesco bracelet (single and exclusive festival ticket), personal documents, sunglasses, cereal bar, raincoat, sunscreen, lip balm, cut fruit, sealed industrialized food, hat or cap, sarong, backpack or bag, mineral water in a sealed plastic cup, portable charger and cell phone charging cable, medicine with medical report/prescription, make-up and Polaroid camera.

What cannot be brought to the festival

The Lolla organizers informed that bottles, cans, drinks, storage utensils, rigid packaging with lids, helmets, chairs or benches, firearms and bladed weapons, sharp objects, sharp and/or perforating devices, chains and belts, fireworks, glass objects, professional cameras or camcorders or with detachable lens, posters made with thick cardboard and/or attached to wood, rigid straws, animals (except assistance dogs, identified and accompanied by a person with a disability); photography stick, drones or similar, umbrella, flammable substances, electronic cigarettes, corrosive and/or toxic substances, magazines, newspapers, books and thermal cups or similar.

The festival will provide lockers for the public to store belongings – more information here – but the above items cannot be saved either.

Satisfy the hunger

Lolla’s audience can be calm about the item “kill hunger”. The festival has a special food court: the Chefstage. The public will find everything from pizza to hamburgers, from a vegetarian menu to churros ice cream. Several food trucks will also be spread around the festival with options for all the hungry ones.
