Lollapalooza: find out how to get to the Racetrack and what the weather forecast is

Between Friday (22) and Sunday (24), the Autódromo de Interlagos will exchange cars for music fans and will host another edition of Lollapalooza Brasil.

This year the festival will feature names like Blink-182, Limp Biskit, Kings Of Leon, Arcade Fire, Sam Smith and SZA as some of its main attractions. On the national music menu, Titãs and Gilberto Gil stand out. Check out the complete schedule here, broken down by day.

After a sequence of hot days, caused by the passage of a strong heat wave across the country, the weather should be mild in the city of São Paulo during the days when Lollapalooza will take place. This is what Maria Clara Sassaki, meteorology specialist at Tempo OK, says.

Weather forecast for Lolla

Check below the detailed weather forecast for the days of the event:

Friday (22)

According to Sassaki, on Friday, the day should start warmer and festivalgoers will see the temperature dropping over the hours. The maximum should be 22ºC with a minimum of 18ºC. The final sensation, however, must be even lower than the real temperature, reaching 14ºC.

“The forecast is for a very cloudy day with a chance of light rain at any time, but with a risk of moderately intense wind gusts that could reach up to 45 km/h”, says the expert.

“It is recommended to take a raincoat to the event to protect yourself from instability and also the lower thermal sensation.”

Saturday (23)

On Saturday, the forecast is that the sun will appear more. However, there will still be a lot of cloudiness with a chance of occasional light rain at any time.

The day dawns at 17ºC and temperatures are expected to reach 20ºC, with winds between 30 and 40 km/h and a lower thermal sensation than the lower temperature.

Sunday (24)

On the last day of the event, thermometers should show higher temperatures and the event's audience will have more sun.

“The day starts at 18ºC and the maximum forecast for Sunday is 23º. There is no possibility of wind, so the thermal sensation on Sunday is much more pleasant”, said Sassaki.

How to get to the Autodromo in Lolla

Separated by more than 20 kilometers from Praça da Sé, the central point of the city of São Paulo, the Autódromo José Carlos Pace will, once again, require an efficient transport scheme to transport the hundreds of thousands of people who, together over three days event, make up the Lolla audience.

Metro and Train

As the closest train station is Autódromo, on ViaMobilidade's Line 9-Esmeralda, the train becomes the main public transport option for those going to the festival. The location is approximately a 10-minute walk from the event entrance gates.

For the 2024 edition, the Lollapalooza organization entered into a partnership with ViaMobilidade, São Paulo Metro and Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) to ensure that services will operate for disembarkation and transfers 24 hours a day during the festival.

The Autódromo station, in turn, will be open 24 hours. This means that anyone who boards there will be able to travel throughout the rail transport system in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo with ease.

Train and subway fares in São Paulo cost R$5 and tickets can be purchased at stations or purchased in advance on the Top app, which avoids queues at ticket offices.

Express Passport

The festival and ViaMobilidade will also offer express trips from Pinheiros station, which is served by lines 9-Esmeralda and 4-Yellow, to the Autódromo.

The ticket guarantees round-trip transportation without stopping at the ten stations between the starting and exit points.

Outbound trips are by appointment and can be scheduled at the time of purchase. On the way back, ViaMobilidade will form an exclusive queue at the Autódromo station for those who purchased the service and will make six trains available between 0:05 am and 2:30 am.

A round-trip ticket costs R$30 and can be purchased at ViaMobilidade website.

Lolla Express

Those who want even more convenience can use Lolla Express, the festival's official bus service that will transport the event's audience to four points in the city. Are they:

  1. Barra Funda Terminal;
  2. Méqui Panamby;
  3. Alameda Casa Branca x Praça Alexandre de Gusmão;
  4. Conceição Station.

The buses will be on regular metropolitan lines, will leave the four locations every hour between 9am and 4pm and will drop off shoppers 300 meters from the Lollapalooza entrance. On the way back, the logistics will be different and disembarkations will be made in free time.

Tickets cost R$35 for the Barra Funda Terminal and R$30 for other destinations and are on sale at Ingress website.

Lolla Transfer

Those looking for a more comfortable option can purchase the Lolla Transfer, which guarantees transport by executive bus for those who want to go to the festival. It comes from three points:

  1. Hilton São Paulo Morumbi Hotel (sold out);
  2. Hotel Transamérica Higienópolis;
  3. Hotel E-Suiíes Congonhas by Atlântica.

Tickets have scheduled departure and return times and there are few options available. The service promises to leave the buyer inside the Autodrome.

Tickets guarantee a round trip, cost R$110 and can be purchased at Events website.

Lolla Caravan

Those leaving other cities for the festival have the option of the Lolla Caravan, a service similar to the Lolla Express. With many options sold out, only those leaving the cities of Campinas and Jundiaí can purchase tickets.

Tickets cost R$199 and are on sale at Events website.
