The show Limp Bizkit one of the headliners of the second day of the festival Lollapalooza was marked by the references the band made to Woodstock 99 and the memes generated from the singer's choice of costume.
Fred Durst took the Samsung stage wearing a yellow jacket with reflectors which was compared to the uniform worn by CET (Traffic Engineering Company) employees.

Before singing “My Generation”, one of the band’s hits, Durst met the expectations of fans who had been waiting early on the grid and made a reference to the Woodstock 99 festival. On that occasion, when they played “Break Stuff”, the audience reached their height of dissatisfaction with the organization of the festival and, in fact, it broke everything, as the name of the song suggests.
“It’s crazy times out there, but not as crazy as in ’99,” said the singer.
The band's performance at Lollapalooza was opened and closed by the hit that became the trigger for the chaos recorded at the event considered disastrous, which took place in the USA in 1999, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Woodstock festival. With a lack of water and shelter, participants faced heat that reached 40 degrees, as well as precarious facilities.
In addition to this song, the show had other classics such as the cover of “Behind Blue Eyes”, “My Way” and Rollin'”.
During the presentation, Fred Durst also gave a speech in defense of love.
“They want us to hate each other, and it’s working. São Paulo, I feel nothing but love”, said the singer.
