The High Court of Business and Property of England and Wales has handed down its final verdict in the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) claim. The Developers Alliance demanded that the entrepreneur who tried to impersonate the creator of Bitcoin be rejected.

The court ruled: Craig Wright, who is seeking recognition as Satoshi Nakomoto, cannot claim copyright on the White Paper of the first cryptocurrency.

Judge James Mellor allowed the COPA claim to be fully satisfied, and Craig Wright is prohibited from initiating claims on the same issue to prevent further abuse of the court system. The court decided that the evidence presented by Wright during the hearing was not convincing, and some of it was suspect.

Previously, COPA Commissioner Jonathan Hough accused Wright of continuing to falsify documents even during the trial in an attempt to substantiate his claims.
