London: Russia is behind the telephone “pranks” on British ministers

The Russian state is behind misleading phone calls made to two British ministers and for an attempted phone call to a third, the prime minister’s spokesman announced today Boris Johnson.

THE British Secretary of Defense Ben Wallace and Minister of the Interior Priti Patel stated that they both became targets of these telephone fraud attempts. Johnson’s spokesman said a similar but unsuccessful attempt had been made to deceive Culture Minister Nandin Doris.

“She is the usual practice for Russian information service companies and the misinformation is a tactic that comes straight from the Kremlin manual to try to divert attention from their illegal activities in Ukraine and the human rights violations committed there, “the spokesman added.

THE Ben Wallace had stated that someone pretending to be the Prime Minister of Ukraine contacted him by phone a few hours ago, asking him “misleading questions”.

«Today an attempt was made by a swindler who claimed to be the Prime Minister of Ukraine to speak to me. He asked a lot of misleading questions and after I became suspicious, I ended the call.“, Wallace wrote on Twitter. He added: “No Russian misinformation, distortion and dirty tricks can distract attention from Russian human rights violations and illegal invasion of Ukraine. A desperate attempt».
