Long-term investments in cryptocurrencies are chosen by 55% of users

A new report from the research arm of Binance exchange says 97% of users trust cryptocurrencies. More than half (52%) consider investing in digital assets as a means of earning money.

Of more than 61,000 people surveyed around the world, 15% named cryptocurrency as their main source of income. Top reasons for buying digital assets include long-term investments (55%), distrust of the traditional financial system (38%), and short-term trading opportunities (31%).

Bitcoin continues to dominate the cryptocurrency market. 65% of users own digital gold. For a third of them, the first cryptocurrency accounts for up to 20% of the cryptocurrency portfolio.

60% of users store digital assets on exchanges. Their choice is based on security (28%), user interface and experience (25%), available currency pairs (23%).

DeFi applications are popular with 66% of users.
